Love Letters
How many times have you said, "I love you," this week? How many times have you actually really meant it? Like Xs and Os at the end of an email or random greetings like, "Have a nice day," saying, "I love you," has gone from a treasured moment, to words that feel as if they've lost all meaning.
This month, I challenge you to remember the meaning behind the words and find a way to reignite one important relationship in your life.
- Write a love letter
Maybe it's to your boyfriend of six years. Or maybe it's to your wife, who's traveling on business. Sit down, with an actual pen in hand, and write to tell them just what they mean to you. Make it flowery. Make it sexy. Remind them why they fell in love with you in the first place.
- Send your mom a card
No, it isn't Mother's Day or her birthday, but that doesn't mean you can't stop to send your mother a card reminding her just how special she is to you.
- Pat yourself on the back
Going through a tough time? Go through old emails and find the ones where friends or colleagues praise you for your wisdom or talent. Print them out and revel in the wonder that is you.
What will you do to bring the love back? Share with us in the comments below.
