Low-fat. Low-carb. Paleo. Raw food. Plant-based. Intermittent fasting. Blood-type. Gluten-free.

Eggs are bad for you. Eggs are good for you. You can eat eggs, but only the whites. Wait, maybe the yolks aren't as bad as we thought.

Stop the insanity.

It's no wonder you are beyond confused on how to eat given the never-ending number of diets out there, many of them completely contradictory. How is it possible that one diet can contend that eating copious amounts of meat like a caveman is the absolute healthiest way to live, yet another says you should avoid meat at all costs and just eat plant-based foods?

Nuts. Pun intended.

Two incredibly sad facts that are directly correlated with our struggle with food: There are now more obese people than underweight in the world, and today's children will most likely live shorter lives than their parents. And, for those who do live to their seventies and beyond, many will do so in poor health with a diminished quality of life.

Yet it doesn't have to be that way. Both are reversible. When it comes to conventional dietary advice the simple is made complex and pseudo-science usurps common sense.

So here are my Top 5 Diet Mistakes. Watch the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast to hear an explanation of each one:

  1. You Go on a Diet
  2. You Skip Breakfast
  3. You Don't Eat Frequently Enough
  4. You Don't Eat Enough Healthy Foods
  5. You Don't Eat Enough Protein
