Valentine's Day Partner Workout
In honor of Valentine’s Day, we created a partner workout that can be done with your significant other, best friend or even your child. Because why workout alone on a day celebrating love and affection when you can have a partner instead? Plus, when you work out with someone else, you are more likely to push yourself to crush that last rep or complete an extra round.
Perform each exercise as directed; aim to complete 2-3 rounds:
Plank high fives
Get into a plank position with your hands shoulder-width apart, while facing your partner. Lift your right hand and give your partner a high five, and then return to base position. Repeat using alternating hands for 1 minute.
Alternating burpee
Take turns performing a burpee. While one partner is moving, the other can take a few seconds to catch their breath and encourage their partner before taking their turn. Continue the exercise for 1 minute.
Medicine ball twist pass
Grab a weighted object like a medicine ball, dumbbell, or kettlebell and stand with your backs facing each other. Take turns twisting to carefully pass the object to work your core and arms. Continue moving for 30 seconds and then repeat going the opposite direction.
Squat jump high fives
Start by facing each other in a standing position, with your legs shoulder width apart. Perform a jump squat and high five your partner at the top of the jump, using alternating hands. Perform for 1 minute.
